Office of Academic Assessment
The mission of the Office of Academic Assessment is to support Baruch’s programs and departments in the evaluation of their effectiveness, with an eye towards pursuing excellence in teaching and learning. The Office of Academic Assessment provides resources, information, and guidance about assessment practices to faculty and staff at Baruch College.
The Office also works to ensure that the College meets and exceeds the standards set by our accrediting bodies, Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Office of Academic Assessment strives to maintain and foster assessment practices that are systematized, organized, and sustained in order to best inform institutional decision-making.
To meet the growing needs of Baruch College stakeholders, both internal and external, the Office of Academic Assessment seeks to accomplish the following goals:
- Promote assessment of student learning in academic programs
- Develop and support co-curricular assessment
- Clarify College-wide assessment policies
- Strengthen assessment collaboration and communication at the institution
