Campus Operations

About Us

Campus Operations is overseen by Assistant Vice President for Campus Facilities Larry Manganello, who joined Baruch College on January 2, 2020. The department is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, repair and alteration of the college’s physical plant and safety.  Campus Operations also serves as the college’s advocate at The City University of New York (CUNY) and The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) for capital projects on behalf of the college.  Campus Operations is comprised of:

    • Administration for Campus Operations
    • Buildings and Grounds
    • Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management
    • Facilities Planning, Design and Construction


Administration for Campus Operations is directed by Frank Antonucci. Administration prepares and monitors the annual budget, is responsible for all purchasing for Campus Operations, and handles the many administrative activities that are associated with the physical plant.

Buildings and Grounds is directed by James Boyle, Chief Administrative Superintendent. The Buildings and Grounds team is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all of Baruch College’s properties and Custodial Services. Eleven professional trades work to provide a safe and effective operation of the existing facilities, to insure a tolerant and stimulating educational environment.

The office of Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management (EHSRM) which is under the direction of James Kaznosky, strives to provide a healthy and safe environment at Baruch College through the cooperative efforts of the entire College community. This is accomplished through various initiatives and programs the office oversees using federal, state and city regulations as guidelines pertaining to environmental and occupational health and safety issues. EHSRM achieves this though facility audits and investigations, training programs and other means to identify and educate the College Community on EPA and OSHA/PESH issues.

Facilities Planning, Design and Construction is directed by Tom Gaimaro and supported by the Senior Project Manager, Campus Architect, Assistant Architect and Interior Designer.  The department is responsible for the College's planning, design and construction projects for space enhancements and renovations.  Facilities also prepares the annual capital plan that is submitted to CUNY, manages the College's space management program and signage.
